Agnes Youth & Family Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving children and families throughout Buffalo and Western New York. We provide early childhood education, clothing assistance, and family resource referrals.

Our Impact: Since launching, our food and clothing access pilot has served 260 individuals and families, our community events have served 150 families and children, our recent backpack giveaway served 70 families and children, and over 500 people attended Diversity Day, a community event hosted by our partner Brown Kids with Disabilities.

Our Programs

Tiny Tots Clothing Access Resources for Families

• The Tiny Tots is an evidence-based early childhood education program based on the principles of Montessori and play-based learning, allowing children to develop a lifelong love of learning. Our approach provides children with hands-on, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that encourage curiosity and creativity

• The clothing access program provides clean, gently used clothing to children and families. For families with young children, the cost of keeping up with rapidly changing clothing needs such as new sizes, seasonal clothing, school clothes, and everyday essentials can place an added financial strain on already limited household budgets. By providing quality clothing at no cost, it allows families to feel supported.

• We recognize that families may need more than one type of support to thrive. Through our strong community partnerships, we help ensure families are connected to the appropriate resources, services, and professionals based on their individual needs. Our partnership with the Western New York Independent Care Collaborative (WNYICC) strengthens our ability to connect families with community-based services and supports. We also collaborate with C. Canfield Consulting to help connect children and families with specialized services, including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and child therapy. These partnerships allow us to connect families to immediate resources.
